Decision making

How to avoid the risks of cognitive biases, when making important decisions

Help your teams avoid the mistakes we sometimes make when making important business decisions, due to the cognitive biases we have, and of which we are not aware.

Target audience

This training is especially relevant for all those who have to make important business decisions, and want to significantly reduce the risks of cognitive biases, which can affect them and cause them to make wrong decisions.

Summary of contents

We review the mental processes that our brain follows when making decisions. We analyze the cognitive biases of:

  • Regression to the mean
  • Availability
  • Recency
  • Halo effect
  • Mental schemes
  • Confirmation
  • Social approval

We make them reflect on their impact on our decisions, and help them define contingency plans to prevent them from negatively affecting us and causing us to make mistakes.

The training is based on studies conducted by psychologist and Nobel Prize-winning economist Daniel Kahneman and MIT professor Dan Ariely.
